I joined DeviantArt on December 20, 2011, at the suggestion of a few new online friends who wanted to see my art posted somewhere. While life has had its ups and (many) downs the past couple years, if there's one thing that has become a daily routine and source of enjoyment, it's visiting DA and browsing art and seeing what my friends have been doing, as well as posting the artwork I have made myself and meeting people who have taken an interest in my hodgepodge of characters and ideas.
I can think of no better way of commemorating my time here than with a simple feature journal of all the art that has been made for me by friends and artists I admire since I joined this site. Be it friends I have made here, artists who have taken requests or commissions from me, or those that took a chance on an art trade with a hobbyist cartoonist with too many original characters and too much time on his hands, I want to share them. You are all awesome, I really appreciate these, some of these pictures might be so old that you have forgotten making them but I haven't forgotten receiving them.
My first few features are from the friends that encouraged me to join DA in the first place. While I've long since lost interest in the My Little Pony fandom, I still really enjoy these gifts since they remind me of what was overall a pretty fun time chatting with people and meeting many talented artists and writers.
This second batch is from a very talented artist and one of my first watchers, TH0RSDAY
, who has been a great friend, and drawn many things for me over the years that I absolutely love. Being a new user of the site and having somebody this talented watch you out of the blue is an amazing feeling.
And a collection of very nice commissioned pieces and contest prizes from artists whose work I like a lot...
Some really awesome art from art trades...
And finally, various gift art for birthdays, in return for a gift I made for them or just because they are cool people.
Well, if a picture is worth a thousand words as the old saying goes, this is quite the memoir!
Thanks again for all the fun memories, good times, encouragement, support, and drawings of my silly characters! I've managed to make friends with quite a few amazing and diverse artists over the years.
