So... I just realized that I've been taking commissions for about a year and never once actually had my prices listed in the open. Sorry about that!
Even with a job (and I'm pursuing a second right now), money is very tight with rent, bills, expenses, healthcare costs and food... not to mention my car was on its last legs a year ago and my computer is pretty old as well. Anything helps, but I'd prefer to work for my money rather than ask for handouts (not that I would turn away donations from the kindness of your heart and I might surprise you with art of your character anyways).
Anyways, I work at the lower end of furry fandom commission pricing, and I work pretty fast in most cases-I can work just as fast as clients can reply to me regarding any questions I might have or approving the rough sketches and previews. Be aware that I now currently vastly prefer working in digital to traditional. It just looks better on a computer screen, and it's better for the environment (and my wallet) since I don't have to use a sheet of paper or pencils aside from the sketches. So, without further ado... here are my rates and some examples:
Single character fullbody or three-quarters, no background or simple background: $10 USD:
+$5 USD for each additional character:
+$5 USD for a detailed background:The Bargain Bin-Stuff I might draw for cheaper, if you're interested in a commission but short on cash:
Your Little Pony: $5 USD (+$5 USD per additional character or complex background)
Portrait or halfbody: $5 USD (maybe a bit less on the portraits, depending...)
Pixel Chomper icon: $1 USD/100 DA Points (will add the widget if there are any takers for point commissions)
Stuff I might throw in for free or a reduced price, or do for cheaper:
An idea I absolutely love, or a character design that I really want to draw.
One of my own characters, if you want something involving them.
Something I'm in the mood to draw, or that I have fun drawing. I've often done a "$5 Baby" weekend where I'll draw a fullbody of a baby character for five bucks because babies are cute.
Price breaks for repeat customers. Free backgrounds, free additional characters, and so on.
Very simple character designs that won't take as much effort or time on my part to complete.Anything else you might want that isn't shown here? Ask me! We might be able to work something out!
I might consider a complex prop like a vehicle or detailed machine or object to be a "character" and charge accordingly, but that hasn't happened yet!The full "Commissioned Pieces" folder for those looking for more previews: lorddominic.deviantart.com/gal…What I will draw:
G or PG-Rated subject matter.
Anthro, and I can try to draw human or nekomimi as well.
Many "tame" fetishes like underwear, humiliation, crossdressing, bondage, and so on.What I might draw, depending on the situation:
Fan art and licensed characters.
Custom characters and custom adoptables (as in, designing characters from scratch). What I will NOT draw:
Hate art, "anti" art, or political messages I do not agree with.
Explicit nudity or sexual art. Nothing that's going to require a "mature content" tag.
Certain fetishes. Vore comes to mind immediately. When in doubt, ask me.My Reposting Policy
In the furry fandom (and others as well) I am aware that the reposting of commissioned pieces to your own accounts is a fact of life. As a result, here are my requirements:
I have received my payment for the work.
My signature/contact info on the picture is not removed or altered. This way, other people can find me.
Link back to either my DA profile page or the original piece in the description. How to contact me:
I prefer to use notes here on DA, but if that's problematic I might be willing to give you my email address. I don't want to post it publicly (to avoid spammers and whatnot) but I can note it to you privately.
Other sites: Sorry, but I currently don't use any. I have a Weasyl account but it is inactive and I'm unlikely to check messages there more than once a month or so.Payment via PayPal only. If that's a problem, maybe we can work something out (worse comes to worse, write me a check and mail it I guess?).
